Introduction to C4CM Video clips

C4CM Video on Change Capability

We have created some short video clips from an interview our MD, Robert Cole, gave to Adrian Boorman at Pearcemayfield recently. You can see the full interview on the pearcemayfield web site.

Our video clips pick out the development of Change Capability and a model to measure it. The last clip brings together the ideas to show how the model can help organisations and individuals improve their change capability. The clips are on YouTube and can be seen using the links below:

  1. Four key management skills for change

Robert Cole, with Adrain Boorman, introduces four key skills for managing change: benefits management, risk management, stakeholder engagement and people management (soft skills).

  2. What is a Change Capability model?

Robert Cole, with Adrain Boorman, describes the basis of a capability model in terms of practical behaviour, especially the way change is managed. It is a matrix of levels and competencies.

  3. The five levels of the C4CM change capability model

Robert Cole, with Adrain Boorman, describes the five levels of the C4CM change capability model: from chaos to reflective management; from poor success to sustainable success. You can see a diagram of the model (opens in a new browser tab or window).

  4. The four competencies of the change capability model

Robert Cole, with Adrain Boorman, describes the four areas of competence used in the C4CM change capability model: knowledge & skills, leadership & governance, processes & roles and managing change. A short description is available in a pop-up window. Together with the 5 levels they form the matrix of behaviours in the model.

  5. How to improve your change capability with the model

Robert Cole, with Adrain Boorman, describes how the model can be used to assess capability and then looks at what needs to be done to improve capability between each of the levels.
